fascia therapy
What is Fascia Therapy?
Fascia therapy, also sometimes called fascia release therapy or fascia stretch therapy, is a gentle, hands-on approach that helps your body unwind from the inside out by working directly with the tissue to support release.
Your fascia is the connective tissue that wraps around every one of your muscles, organs, bones and joints. Keeping your structure intact, it also holds a lot of stress and over time, that tissue can become too tight or restricted. This is typically caused by injury, inflammation, repetitive movement, poor posture, dehydration, even unprocessed emotional stress.
This can manifest as stiffness, heaviness or general discomfort that’s hard for you to name or pinpoint. Releasing the fascia can help restore communication between your body’s symptoms, allowing for ease of movement, activity and rest.
Common Questions for Gentle Guidance
Most clients do not experience pain during fascia therapy. You may feel sensations as areas release, and our practitioners will always work with your body, not push or override it.
Not quite. Fascia therapy works with the connective tissue beneath and around the muscles, using lighter pressure and slower movements than a traditional massage.
Benefits can include improved mobility and range of motion, lightness and looseness of the body, nervous system regulation, relief from chronic tightness and a deeper sense of connection and flow.
